New York Highlights:

Hyatt Centric Times Square puts you at the center of everything, and we took full advantage of it. Some highlights from our family trip:

  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Lyric Theatre. An absolute must for families visiting New York. The production is breathtaking, the special effects are unlike anything you have seen on stage, and the Lyric Theatre itself is stunning. Our kids were completely captivated from start to finish. If you are planning a New York family trip, build your schedule around getting tickets to this show.
  • Central Park. A short walk or quick cab ride from the hotel puts you in one of the world’s most iconic urban parks. We spent a morning exploring the park, watching the city wake up around us, and letting the kids run around after days of city sightseeing.
  • The Food Scene. New York has no shortage of incredible dining and we made the most of it. The diversity of cuisine available within walking distance of the hotel is genuinely remarkable. From casual midtown lunch spots to proper sit-down dinners, every meal was memorable.
  • Times Square itself. When you are staying right in the middle of it there is something magical about walking out of your hotel and being immediately surrounded by the energy of Times Square. The kids loved every moment of it and honestly so did we.

Service:

The service at Hyatt Centric Times Square was excellent throughout our stay. The staff genuinely seemed invested in making our family trip special, from check-in through checkout. In a city where hotel service can sometimes feel transactional, the team here felt warm and attentive in a way that made a real difference. Every request was handled quickly and cheerfully, which when you are traveling with two kids means more than you can imagine.

Seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Lyric Theatre, spending a morning in Central Park, and experiencing New York through the eyes of two excited kids made this one of our most memorable family trips. The suite was the perfect home base for all of it.
